To obtain a real estate salesperson license, you must first qualify for and pass a written examination. Those who pass the examination are provided a license application which must be submitted to and approved by the DRE. The most current general and educational requirements to become a licensed real estate salesperson in accordance with the Department of Real Estate may be found at https://www.dre.ca.gov.

General Requirements: The general requirements are that you must be at least 18 years old, have a Social Security number or an individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN),be a California resident and  If you are not a California resident, see Out-of-State ApplicantsApplicants must be honest and truthful. Conviction of a crime may result in the denial of a license. Lastly, have proof that you completed at least three college-level courses in specific subject matter (except for members of the California State Bar).

Course Requirements: Successful completion of three college-level courses is required to qualify for a real estate salesperson examination: Real Estate Principles,, Real Estate Practice, and one course from the following list: Real Estate Appraisal, Property Management, Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Economics, Legal Aspects of Real Estate, Real Estate Office Administration, General Accounting, Business Law, Real Estate Escrows, Mortgage Loan Brokering and Lending, Computer Applications in Real Estate, or Common Interest Developments.

Course Offerings: Our Salesperson Courses consist of Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Practice and Real Estate Appraisal. Each of these courses provide 45 hours of class instruction. For Brokers we offer Real Estate Practice, Real Estate Finance, Legal Aspects of Real Estate, Real Estate Appraisal, and Real Estate Economics, plus from the electives, Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Escrows, Mortgage Loan Brokering and Lending, plus Property Management. Each of these courses also provide 45 hours of class instruction.

Refund/Cancellation Policy


This school has and maintains a policy for the refunding of monies paid, for the unused portion of tuition and fees in the event the student withdraws/discontinues at any time prior to the completion of the course enrolled. The amount charged will not exceed a prorated basis of the total charges incurred. An enrollee may cancel the enrollment within three business days of enrollment and receive a full refund of all monies paid if all materials are returned undamaged; otherwise, a $45 non-refundable administration fee may be retained.

Additional School Policy and Procedures


Participants are requested to attend the first class of any course prior to registration and enrollment. After reviewing the General Information Page and attendance at the first class, the participant can then register and pay for the course. Students must sign the attendance sheet the first day of class as it is included in the total course time required if the students choose to proceed in the course. Students participating via Zoom receive an automated email invitation with their meeting login instructions and session times to all of their meeting sessions. All final examinations are taken in person at an instructor monitored classroom.

Attendance Policy


For live courses, students must attend a minimum of 90% of the approved course hours to be eligible to receive DRE pre-license course credit.


Student Enrollment


A student may enroll in any number of courses with the following guidelines:

1. Schools may not offer a single correspondence course that is to be completed* in less than 2½ weeks. This rule applies regardless of the number of schools the student is taking courses from.

2. No more than two courses may be completed* in a five-week period.

* The time from the date the student receives access to the course material to the date the final exam is successfully passed.

3. All courses shall require completion within one year from the date of registration. If the course is not completed within one year, the student must re-enroll in the course, adhering to the course requirements.


Live Course Identification Statement
